WARWICK, RI – ATW Companies, a leading provider of custom manufactured metal components and services, announced that Parmatech-Proform Corporation (Proform), has acquired the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) business of Morgan Advanced Ceramics, based in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Proform is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ATW Companies of Warwick, Rhode Island. The acquisition will expand the MIM technology currently offered by Parmatech Corporation, an ATW Company based in Petaluma, CA.
The newly acquired business specializes in providing solutions to meet application challenges through it’s own proprietary MIM process. Its products are used in the medical, telecommunications, aerospace, electrical and power, semiconductor and laser markets.
According to Peter C. Frost, president of ATW Companies, Inc., “We anticipate the combination of our businesses will prove beneficial by empowering us to serve our customers better.” Proform will enhance Parmatech Corporation’s current MIM business, expanding its MIM capabilities to the East Coast, as well as expanding production capabilities and improving product quality by leveraging ATW’s expertise in precision metal components. Mr. Frost added, “This change in ownership will strengthen our relationships with customers and enhance the high level of service we provide.”
